I’m a tech expert and funnel strategist.   I make everything connect and work in the digital space for my clients.  If you are ready to pull your hair out, it’s time for my help!

Self-discipline has been a major theme for me this year. I believe self-discipline is a reflection of our self-love and this year I have chosen to bring awareness to this aspect of my life.

Why am I self-disciplined in some areas of my life and not others. Do you wonder this?

I also bring awareness to my habits as some are unconscious and I really would prefer that my unconscious is not running the show.

I have improved my daily habits by starting small like making my bed every day and actually enjoying it.

I feel like self-care is so important at the moment and choosing one daily habit to commit to as a start is a wonderful way to build on our self-love.

What self-care practice are you going to include in your day?

What Is Self-Discipline?

Self-Discipline is defined as one’s ability to renounce immediate satisfaction to accomplish long-term goals. It means taking control of your feelings, emotions, and actions despite discomfort and struggles.

A person with high levels of self-discipline is more decisive and doesn’t let their impulses dictate their choices.

Benefits of Self-Discipline:

1. Self-Discipline promotes inner strength and good character.
2. A Self-Disciplined person does not give up easily despite failures and setbacks.
3. Self-Discipline helps you stand by your decisions and not lose sight of your plans and objectives.
4. Self-Discipline helps you persevere through hurdles that try to hinder you from achieving your goals.
5. Self-Discipline helps you stick to your standards and not settle for anything less.
6. Self-Discipline is the best ingredient to be successful in life.
7. Self-Discipline helps you become the best version of yourself.
8. Self-Discipline helps you stay motivated even if you are not seeing any results.

How To Improve Self-Discipline?

1. Always consider the consequences of your action before doing them.
2. Do not give up easily despite setbacks and obstacles.
3. Start small, set some goals/plans, and make an effort to carry them out.
4. Eliminate all temptations and distractions from your surroundings.
5. Identify your weakness and own up to it.
6. If and when you stumble, forgive yourself and move forward.
7. Give yourself a reward when you accomplish your goals no matter how small and simple they may be.
8. Aside from giving yourself a reward, you can also penalize yourself when you made some poor choices to refrain from falling into cycles.
9. Find a motivation.
10. Create a consistent routine that will help you get ahead of bad habits.

Self-discipline is one of the most vital and useful skills everyone should have. It is a learned skill and not an innate characteristic. However, developing self-discipline takes time and requires practice and nurturing. Start with a goal, commit to it, and choose not to give up even if you slip.
